About Us
The Department of Education was established in the year 1965. In the beginning, one year M.Ed. course was offered and a two-year Master’s Programme in Education (MA) was subsequently introduced in the year 1979. In the early eighties, the Department initiated research programme at M.Phil and Ph.D. levels. For the last 36 years about 252 scholars have been awarded the degrees of Ph.D and M.Phil in Education.
