The Department prepares students to be leaders in educational research, policy and practice. Working alongside educators who are stalwarts in their areas of expertise, helps students to develop necessary pedagogical and research skills of the highest quality. The effort and the commitment of the Department towards quality education can be discerned from the fact that our students are clearing NET / SET /JRF exams regularly. Moreover, the publication of the research work by the scholars and teachers of the Department in internationally acclaimed journals adds many precious feathers to its cap. The Department is professionally committed to producing efficient teachers through its quality B.Ed program and other related courses. Accordingly, many initiatives have been taken by the Department as far as courses, infrastructure and human resources are concerned. The introduction of Integrated B.Ed-M.Ed was one such initiative.
